Rana Mohie Eldin

Rana Mohie Eldin is an Analyst of the Women, Business and the Law (WBL) project. She supports research on the Enforcement Perceptions pillar of the WBL index, with a focus on the underlying survey methodology. Rana joined the team in May 2026 as part of the WBG Pioneers Internship Program. She is currently a PhD candidate in Economics at Washington University in St. Louis, where her work examines the labor market and distributional effects of regulatory and institutional reforms, including occupational licensing and corporate board diversity mandates. She holds an M.Sc. in Economic Analysis from the Barcelona School of Economics and a B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from the American University in Cairo. She is fluent in English and a native Arabic speaker.
