Ana Sofia Silveira

Ana Sofia Silveira is an Analyst for the Women, Business and the Law project. She conducts legal research, policy analysis, and data collection on violence against women. Ana joined the team in March 2025. Before joining the team, she worked at the European External Action Service (EEAS), where she contributed to the EU’s diplomatic relations with Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean, including political analysis, policy-oriented research, and support to high-level diplomatic engagements. She has also provided legal advice at the international law firms Uría Menéndez and Garrigues, as well as at the Portuguese Ombudsman’s Office. Ana is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association. She holds a double master’s degree in European and International Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Sciences Po Paris, as well as a law degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She speaks Portuguese, English, and French, and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
